Miyashita Yuu (宮下遊), or more commonly Yuu (遊) is an utaite, who has started covering songs in August 2008. However, many of his early songs are set to private. Yuu has a soft, husky voice. He puts lots of energy and personality into his covers, making them unique. When singing in deeper ranges, such as in his cover of "Autophagy", it sounds chilling and dark. His covers are often tagged with "daroi" (だろい) made up of the words "darui" (だるい, lit. sluggish) and "eroi" (えろい). He sings in a variety of genres, ranging from hit songs like "Sand Planet ", fairly unknown songs such as "をどりあそばせ。", lively songs like "Callboy", rock songs such as "Roki", and slow-paced songs like "Unname". He can also roll his tongue (巻き舌, makijita) as demonstrated in various covers e.g. in his covers of "Kowloon Retro" and "Villain". Yuu doesn't collaborate with other utaite, but used to be part of Senkou Metro, where he provided the illustrations and vocals for the albums, and is now lead vocalist of Doctrine-Doctrine. He also sometimes does illustrations for his own covers such as his "Unhappy Refrain" and Jingo Jungle. He also rarely does VOCALOID originals, starting with "Akki Azami Uta" featuring GUMI. As of 2021, his most notable cover is that of Niru Kajitsu's "Wozwald" Nv.gif, with over 19 million views on Youtube and over 1 million views on Nico Nico. His cover was so successful that it became recognized by the original composer, and has become the definitive edition of the song. His most popular Nico Nico cover is of "Unknown Mother Goose", with over 2 million views.
