A band's break up leaves two different types of "ex-members of": those who want to grow up and take on more adult responsibilities; and those who refuse to grow up, choosing instead to keep the crappy jobs that enable them to jump on a tour at the drop of a hat. The former of the two find jobs and research dental plans, the latter need somewhere else to go and new bandmates to play with. Mikoto was that somewhere to go for Dan Tracy (drums), Kelly Orr (bass), Martin Diaz (guitar), Matt Moody (guitar), and Ray Harkins (vocals). With a desire to create music that was both fun and inspiring, Mikoto was begun.
Coming out with their self titled 5 song ep in 2005 was the start of Mikoto's success. Playing shows and more shows is getting them more popular every second. With the new edition to their band - Mike, on drums - they are holding up.
Their new album is coming out soon. Listen to Mikoto.
