Hello Project
Melon Kinenbi was an all-girl J-Pop group with Hello! Project. They were formed after they successfully passed the 2nd Morning Musume & Michiyo Heike Imotobun audition. Melon Kinenbi is the oldest group in Hello! Project's history not to have changed or replaced any of its members since its formation. The band occasionally worked as dancers for other Hello! Project artists. Melon Kinenbi officially graduated from Hello! Project on 3/31/2009, along with the rest of the Elder Club. After graduation, they collaborated with other J-Punk bands for several limited release indie singles, & released "Melon's Not Dead", their 4th album. Two days after its release and just after its 10th Anniversary, Melon Kinenbi announced that they were disbanding following their 2010 tour. They performed together one final time on 5/3/2010, at Nakano Sun Plaza. Members were: Hitomi Saito Megumi Murata Masae Otani Ayumi Shibata
